Week 74 - I'm actually writing a book 🤓

Hey my friend, almost a year ago I told you that I’m writing a book called “Friendworking.” Well, this weekend I actually started doing it 🤩😎😅

I mean, sure, every previous newsletter edition was a part of the future book, and every personal experience I shared has made a strong foundation for it.

So on Saturday, I shared all 73 previous editions of this newsletter with ChatGPT and asked it to ask me as many questions as possible to help me start outlining the book’s structure.

And after answering 277 questions 😲😅, here is the initial structure I’ve got:

  • Part I — Newbie: You Need People

    • You Can't Do It Alone

    • People Are Different People

    • Be More You

  • Part II — Apprentice: Start Talking

    • Find Your People

    • Say Hello

    • Get Curious

  • Part III — Knowledgeable: Meet the Dragons

    • Nobody Answers Me

    • Message Them Again

    • Don't Get Eaten

  • Part IV — Independent Expert: Become Valuable

    • You Already Have Something to Give

    • Give Without Keeping Score

    • Ask

  • Part V — Professional: Turn Human Connection Into Results

    • Friendship First. Business Second.

    • Become a Connector

    • Make Your Own Luck

  • Part VI — Keep Going: There Is No Friendworking Master

    • Be a Goldfish

    • Stay Open Stay Curious

  • Epilogue: Go Talk to Someone

Well, it’s very high-level for now, but I need to start somewhere 😏

So the upcoming newsletters will be small sections that I’ll later connect into chapters, and that’s how the book will become alive!

And I’ll need your help here 🤗

Look, I want this book to be as practical, real, and fun to read as possible!

So anytime you have something to tell me—whether it’s your personal story, or something you’d improve in what I shared with you, or a question you want to ask to clarify something—message me back immediately!

And, of course, I’ll be more than happy to include your stories and support, and your name in the book 🤗

Let’s make this book as useful as possible, and let’s do it together 💪

💡 What influenced me this week 💡

  • “Scars are the price you pay for success.” - Melvin Van Peebles, The Economist’s daily quotes

Song of the week:

Book and quotes of the week:

“The greatest threat to your future is not AI but the version of yourself that refuses to adapt to it.”

”The last human advantage is the ability to create meaning.”

”The danger is not that AI becomes too intelligent. The danger is that humans become too comfortable.”
