Week 58 - Tell me what you think 🤓
Hey my friend, today I’m here not to give, but ask 😲😏
I write this newsletter because I truly believe connections shape everything—your work, your life, even your happiness (don’t trust just me here, trust Harvard 😉).
And I think it’s quite useful.
But the question I constantly have on my mind:
Is this actually helping you build better relationships?
So I don’t want to just think it’s useful. I want to know it for sure!
And if not, I’d love to find what to improve, and actually improve it!
So I made a super short (3 min) anonymous survey, and please take it here 👇
Your honest answer (even not the sweetest one) will help me improve it for you 🤗
So yeah, that’s it for this week, and if you have any questions, thoughts, ideas, or personal examples of how to build better human connections, please answer this email, or connect with me on LinkedIn, and let’s talk 🤗🤓
💡 What influenced me this week 💡
Thoughts of the week:
“The supreme accomplishment is to blur the line between work and play.” - Arnold Toynbee, The Economist’s daily quotes
“Build a welcome sequence that tells your origin story — across multiple emails, from multiple perspectives. It's a deliberate strategy to get readers emotionally invested before the novelty of a new subscription wears off. People are less likely to unsubscribe from a publication when they feel connected to the creators.” - Creator Spotlight Newsletter
“When I worked at YouTube, everyone would say it's not the algorithm, it's the audience. Whatever's performing well is a reflection of what humans are generally interested in. We're all kind of moving together, creating and reacting together." - Hayley Rose, Creator Spotlight Newsletter
“Love your enemies, for they tell you your faults.” - Benjamin Franklin, The Economist’s daily quotes
“As we go forward, we may need to build some humanity into Al. We may have to see it making mistakes and correcting itself in order that we warm to it.” - Richard Wiseman, Nudge podcast
Song of the week:
Book and quotes of the week:
“Instead of condemning people, let’s try to understand them. Let’s try to figure out why they do what they do.”
“The deepest urge in human nature is ‘the desire to be important.”
“If you tell me how you get your feeling of importance, I’ll tell you what you are.”
Tools that I use with referrals:
Descript - for anything around podcasting and video editing
Beehiiv - for a newsletter (that’s what you receive 😅)
Text Blaze - to access message templates with shortcuts (like “/ty”)

Manus - for building complex systems and projects
