Week 27 - Keep connecting, keep sharing 🤗

In last week’s thoughts, I shared this quote by Codie Sanchez: “Skip famous folks, go to people with money”, and I decided to follow this advice.
I listened to the Creator Spotlight and connected with Nathan May, who has started his own podcast, Personal IPO. In this podcast, he talks to successful entrepreneurs about tactics and actionable steps to take for others.
After listening to Creator Spotlight or Personal IPO, I summarize the episode, identify one key takeaway, and send a connection request to a guest.
When this person accepts it, I share my thoughts on the conversation, highlight what resonated with me the most, and express gratitude for the open discussion and for sharing such valuable wisdom. That’s it. Nothing else.
Next, if I see something interesting about what they’ve shared, or some of their posts, or anything, I message them about it, too. By doing this, I’m not trying to take something from them, but just thank them for their impact, and, also, it helps to get on their radar, so the moment I invite them to one of the podcasts I’m running, it’s so much easier for them to say “yes” because they already kinda know me, and understand that I’m not trying to use them, but elevate and highlight.
And yes, it’s my hypothesis, so far I’m more on the connecting and thanking part, and the next one will be inviting to the Humans Of Business podcast, and later I’ll share if it really works the way I think 🤓😏
Also, I’ve decided to prepare referrals for all the tools that I’m using, and share them everywhere because the more people I talk to, the more they see my work, the higher the chance they’ll start doing something themselves, and they’ll need the same tools, and why don’t make a buck on sharing a good tool to a good person 😁😊
