Week 23 - Underpromise and overdeliver 🚀
Last week I said I’d keep working on updating “Yurii’s Hub”, but I didn’t even imagine I would build a website out of that Notion page 😲
And it’s all because of Manus!
A little backstory - a long time ago, I had heard about an amazing tool that utilizes AI agents to actually accomplish tasks. For example, not just tell you what you have to do to create a website, but it will create a website for you!
Back then, it was invite-only, so I signed up and forgot about it 😁
Then, nearly 3-4 weeks ago, I received an email that I was granted access and 1500 free credits, but since I’ve already forgotten about it, I didn’t give a shit until my colleague told me how they loved using Manus, and gave me their invite link (this way I got 500 free credits, and they, too 😏).
So last week, I finally decided to test it, and my first prompt was pretty simple:

Of course, it gave me a deep answer, about it being an autonomous general AI agent, blah-blah-blah, boring… so the next prompt was this:

Afterwards, it asked me about:
Target Audience Specificity
Desired Action for Each Category
Key Selling Points/Unique Value Proposition
Visuals and Branding
Call to Action (CTA) for Support/Coaching
Overall Tone and Style
I answered and was getting ready for an example on how I can make my Notion page better, but I didn’t expect what happened next 😲
It generated me a FULLY WORKING WEBSITE using my answers and information from Notion, and even created a link that I could click to test it! 🚀🔥🤩
And I could definitely stop there and use what I’ve received, but that’s not how it works for me 😅 of course, I shared the Notion page with my offer, and shared a link to a shop with T-shirts that I’ve created art for, provided it with the testimonials that folks shared with me some time ago, and also asked to use a little different colors, so with a little back and forth, here’s what I received!
Also, it gave me a full archive with a website and a step-by-step instruction about how to make it live, so I chose the tool Netlify to deploy the website, and it’s kinda live 🤓😎
Yes, it’s not perfect, for some reason my picture, and pictures of folks with the testimonials are not visible, plus shop products look weird, and there are no links (and I’m not even talking about the texts - still need to adjust them),
but!
I spent less than 1-2 hours on it, and it much exceeded my expectations!
That’s exactly what I call to underpromise and overdeliver 😏
After I’ve listed all the things I needed to fix, Manus gave me another instruction on what to do, and currently I’ve installed git, Node.js, npm, and created an account on GitHub, so next week I’ll be fixing those small things 🤓
And, of course, I could have paid money to a freelancer so that they would create me a website, but after I received this 90% ready website from Manus, it sparked my curiosity, and now I want to finish this website myself 💪
By the way, if you decide to give Manus a try, please use this link, and this way you’ll get an extra 500 credits in addition to 1300 they propose initially (I’d say it’s rather good amount to run one test similar to what I’ve done), and I’ll have them, too, so please use it 😉😊
On another note, every time I hear, or read about something interesting, I make a note on my phone, and hope that I’ll use it later 😅🤞, still, I noticed that sometimes these random notes are like a missing link between some great discovery, so from now on, I’ll be also documenting those notes here in the newsletter, and hopefully, they will help you build some neuron connections, too 😉🤗
Thoughts of the week:
“Creators are the people who make cool shit online” - Nathan May on a Creator Spotlight podcast episode.
also, there I’ve learned about the great idea for inviting people to a newsletter manually, so in the future I will identify folks who might benefit from this weekly documentation, and invite them to join us here, too 🤓
“You don’t have product-market fit until someone pays you.” - Nathan May again :)
“Anything could happen, and it usually does, so there is no point in sitting around thinking about all the ifs, ands, and buts.” - Amy Winehouse, quote in the Economist.
People don’t like unfinished things. When Airbnb asks about the feedback, they don’t ask about it like something extra, they create a “feeling of unfinished journey” by telling “one last step to complete your journey - leave feedback”. - via the Nudge podcast.
Song of the week:
Book and quotes of the week:
“People are usually more convinced by what they know and care about than by what you want for them.”
“The ratio of change talk to sustain talk does predict how likely change is to happen.”
“Taking someone’s change talk at face value rather than challenging it can make change more plausible to them as well.”
Daily actions:
fix one thing on my new website
tell 5 freelancers about the Freelance Foundation course
participate in a secret LI support group
train my idea muscle - come up with 5 ideas about smth
read a self-development book/listen to a professional podcast for 15 minutes
make a valuable post/comment on LinkedIn
work 30 minutes solely on my business 😎
Weekly actions:
transcribe one new episode of the Creator Spotlight podcast and learn something from it
