Week 1 - The first steps to a $1M+ freelance business

Hey there, my name is Yurii, and I’m an Activator!

*Hello, Yurii šŸ‘‹*

That means that if I have any idea, even the craziest one, I’ll try it right away, and most likely, I will make many mistakes…

But the fastest I see what doesn’t work, the fastest, I’ll find the right way!

For 2025, I chose only one goal:

To help 500 people unconditionally.

The first month into this goal, I’ve noticed that most of the humans’ problems are not problems at all—they’re expenses.

That’s exactly why I decided to become a $ millioner by 40!

Yes, I still have some time šŸ˜…

So, in this newsletter, I’ll document my step-by-step journey to achieving it, and I hope it will help you come up with some ideas to build your own million-dollar freelance business!

Are you ready?

Let’s jump right into it!

I’m a big believer that to achieve something great in this life, you have to amplify your strong sides.

So, to begin my $1M+ journey, I took 3 assessments to understand myself better:

  1. Cliffton Strengths 34 - it's an assessment of your professional strengths and traits with a detailed description of what it means and how you can use it.

That’s how I found that my TOP-5 strengths are - Activator, Maximizer, Belief, Developer, and Input!

(tl;dr: I thrive while turning ideas that align with my core values into actions, do it with an exceptional quality and motivate, unite, and elevate others!)

It’s paid, costs like $60, but it's worth it!

  2. Red Bull Winfinder - a personality assessment that focuses on your strengths, and in results, you see what makes you thrive and how to amplify your strengths!

It’s free, but I really liked the results!

  3. Human Desing profile - shows how your energy is unique and how your aura works based on a place, date, and time of birth.

Yes-yes, I know… It doesn’t sound very scientific, but after having this conversation with Nicoline Huizinga, a Human Design coach who’s told me so many things about myself just having a quick look at my profile, I bet it’s worth taking it into consideration šŸ˜

With all the results from these 3 assessments, I went to chatGPT, and asked it to:

ā€œcheck these documents, give me a small summary of my strongest sides, and give me a list of 20 successful businessmen and entrepreneurs that match my personalityā€

After that, I asked it to:

ā€œsort this list and refine it by focusing only on my top-3 strongest skills and how those skills blend within entrepreneursā€

Making a little more back-and-forth conversations with chatGPT, I chose these people:

  • Richard Branson

  • Tonny Robbins

  • Oprah Winfrey

  • Gary Vaynerchuk

  • Tim Ferris

  • Reid Hoffman

  • Arianna Huffington

  • Sara Blakely

The next prompt was:

ā€œplease tell me what similarities I have with them, and how can I use their knowledge and experience to become a dollar millionaireā€

After that, I went to Google and searched for the interviews with those entrepreneurs using a simple search: ā€œbusiness advice Name+Surname long interviewā€

Next, I chose 2-3 videos with each of them, transcribed them with Turboscribe, fed them to chatGPT, and asked it to:

ā€œplease analyze them thoughtfully, and give me a step-by-step plan for each of the people in the discussion with what they do to build their businessesā€

Also, I gave chatGPT my LinkedIn ā€œAbout meā€ section and a presentation I used earlier as a CV (for it to understand better who am I), and the next prompt was:

ā€œplease, help me to create a personalized roadmap to build a million-dollar freelance business based on these insights and my Clifton strengths, wingfinder, and human design assessmentsā€

Sure, I had some more conversations with chatGPT, asking it to refine my Action Plan based on my expertise, who I work with, and time constraints (I took 3 years), and here is what I’ve got as a result:

Inside, it looks like a step-by-step guide to what to do next:

Of course, it’s just the beginning, and I have so many things to work on, but now I’m not staring at a blank page, and I have some directions to dive deeper into!

In the next edition, I’ll share with you what next step I took and what I’ve learned.

Stay tuned! šŸ˜‰
